Bug in GPU installation

User 1240 | 1/27/2015, 7:20:18 PM

Dear all,

I followed the instructions and everything to be installed correctly, but when I try to import the graphlab module:

import graphlab as gl

This is the output:

Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> File "/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/graphlab/init.py", line 7, in <module> import graphlab.connect.aws as aws File "/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/graphlab/connect/aws/init.py", line 9, in <module> from ec2 import getcredentials, launchEC2, listinstances, setcredentials, status, terminateEC2 File "/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/graphlab/connect/aws/_ec2.py", line 17, in <module> import graphlab.connect.server as glserver AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'connect'

Any ideas?

This is interesting. Are you using vritualenv? Or do you have a program called "graphlab.py"?

To isolate the core problem, could you try and see if the non-gpu version of graphlab-create works properly for you?

Hi,

I'm not using virtualenv. Just a single usual installation. And no, I have nothing called graphlab.py

I got the same error with the non-gpu version.

Can you try using virtualenv?

Both of them work perfectly with virtualenv.
