Specifying the number of threads in GraphLab Create

User 637 | 8/30/2014, 1:44:20 AM

Hello everyone,

How can I specify the number of threads in GraphLab Create? From what I've read, I can use --ncpus=<nr>; does this technique applies only to traditional C++ GL, or also to GL Create? If yes, then how to pass this parameter to the graphlab structures in Python?

Best regards

You can set the environment variable OMPNUMTHREADS

I tried this but it looks like graphlab is still using 2 or 1 thread. Is there a way to check this using Python API?

I think it has something to do with a stale unity_server. When I start two ipython sessions with that config, the second one used higher number of cores. It is strange that I was able to reproduce this again.
