PMF toolkit missing?

Dear guys,

I happened to search for the PMF code for graph lab. I found the result in the old google code version. I wonder if there is a formal version in current Graphlab repository?

I’ll appreciate your reply.

Thanks.

Hi Tian, You are looking for a VERY old version of the code. PMF code was part of GraphLab v1 which is no longer supported. The latest collaborative filtering GraphLab toolkit is here: http://docs.graphlab.org/collaborative_filtering.html

We are releasing in two days a python interface to GraphLab with much improved collaborative filtering functionality. See some examples here: http://graphlab.com/learn/notebooks/index.html

To be frank, Danny! My research mainly focuses on improving the performance of algorithms for Recommender Systems. I successfully implemented my algorithm in Graphlab. However, I just mean to modify the code for multiple algorithms. I ought to look into pmf code in Graphlab. Your work on python api is amazing. And I believe it will turn to be a great success. But where should I get the latest cpp code for pmf in Graphlab?

Hi, The very old pmf code is here: http://code.google.com/p/graphlabapi/source/browse/?name=v1#hg%2Fdemoapps%2Fpmf The code is deprecated and we wrote much better code following. If I got you correctly since you already used this code and extended it you want to be able to maintain it. Anyway my advice to to switch to the more recent code. We will not be able to give support for this code.
