What‘s the difference between "Heap" and "Allocated"?

INFO: memoryinfo.cpp(logusage:90): Memory Info: Finished populating local graph.
Heap: 210062 MB Allocated: 96167.1 MB

In a machine with 254G RAM, graphlab failed with "std::bad_alloc", above is the outputing log before failing.

It seems you are running out of memory. When constructing the graph we construct temporary data structure for sorting the edges and then we clear them. Which application are you trying to use? What is the size of your graph?

In GraphLab Create we have an out of core implementation which can scale to very big graphs without reading them into memory.
