Is there a way to load custom trained caffe models in graphlab ?

Hello @ajinkya,

We can't load caffe models directly, however we can load mxnet models as described in https://dato.com/products/create/docs/graphlab.mxnet.html. There is a converter from caffe models to mxnet models found in https://github.com/dmlc/mxnet/tree/master/tools/caffe_converter that allows them to be used with mxnet, so you should be set.

Hope that works! -- Hoyt

Can you please show an example of loading a pre-trained MXNet model (such as in https://github.com/dmlc/mxnet-model-gallery) into an mxnet.model.FeedForward object?

Hi,

The API to load model is the same in graphlab.mxnet and opensource mxnet. Please follow the API doc for more details: https://dato.com/products/create/docs/generated/graphlab.mxnet.model.FeedForward.load.html#graphlab.mxnet.model.FeedForward.load

Thanks, jay
