Run graphlab on AWS EC2 GPU instance

User 3226 | 2/20/2016, 4:55:44 PM

I want to run an EC2 instance has GPU and use graphlab to train a neural network. I searched Dato Forum and it seems graphlab does not support EC2 GPU instance in 2015. Does the newest graphlab version 1.8.2 has this feature?

Hi Yuming,

We do have support for GPU. You may launch an EC2 GPU instance and install GPU version of GraphLab Create.

Here is the page in https://dato.com that give you more information:

https://dato.com/download/install-graphlab-create-gpu.html

Thanks!

Hi @wangping, this is good to know. Is the GPU acceleration only for NN algorithms or is it available for all learning methods supported by Graphlab?

@delip,

The GPU egg only improves our deep learning toolkit, and does not accelerate any of the other methods in GLC.

Thanks,
