Unable to launch iPython Notebook in Dato Launcher 2.0.2

User 2567 | 1/27/2016, 9:20:36 PM

Just auto updated Dato Launcher from 2.0.1 to 2.0.2. Everything works fine before the update. However, now, the iPython Notebook will not launch. All it outputs when I press the 'iPython Notebook' button is a new terminal window with the 'export PATH' information on it. It didn't launch a second terminal window like it used to.

My environment is Mac OS X 10.11.3

Thanks for the help!

Thanks for reporting this. We're looking into it.

As a workaround to open IPython Notebook, you could open the terminal from Dato Launcher and type "ipython notebook".

Hi @hanmq1 By chance are you using zsh?

We did release a fix for an issue you described in 2.0.2 but maybe there is an edge case to investigate further.

Can you post the path to this forum or submit a support ticket at https://dato.com/support.

Thanks, Tim

I had a similar issue after updating my OSX to version 10.11.3. Try manually opening Terminal (versus opening it via the Dato Launcher). There appeared to be a backlog of windows that finally opened after I did this (presumably, one window for every time I had clicked "terminal" or "ipython notebook" in the initial prompt Dato prompt
