Does Windows version of GraphLab Create support ODBC connectivity?

User 2381 | 10/7/2015, 9:13:16 PM

When I try this: import graphlab as gl db = gl.connectodbc("DSN=DSNname;UID=me;PWD=my_password")

I get the error "AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'odbcconnection'".

The database I am trying is an teradata database, which I work with every day using the same DSN_name used in the 3rd line of this text.

Thanks for any help in fixing this.

Hi @grao,

Unfortunately, we do currently not support ODBC in Windows. However, we always take feature requests. Is this something that would be useful to you?

Yes, it would be, like it would be for thousands of windows users such as in marketing.

Desperately in need of it. Right now don't know how to fetch data from DB to SFrame, in Windows. Downloading the data from DB and save it as a local file in disk is just not a good option, especially when we're talking about large amount of data set in graphlab.
